شاعری اور علمی حلقوں میں فاطمہ حسن کے نام سے پہچان بنانے والی ڈاکٹر سیدہ انیس فاطمہ زیدی کا تعلق پاکستان کے سب سے بڑے شہر کراچی سے ہے۔ وہ 24 جنوری 1953 کو پیدا ہوئیں۔ آپ نے شاعری کو اپنے اظہارِ کا ذریعہ بنایا لیکن ادبی حلقوں میں آپ ایک محقق، نقاد اور ادیبہ کے طور پر بھی جانی جاتی ہیں۔ شاعری کے مجموعے، کہانیاں اور مختلف موضوعات پر کئی کتابوں کی مصنف ہیں۔ کئی کتابیں مرتب کیں۔ اردو ادب کی ایک فراموش کردہ شاعرہ زاہدہ خاتون شروانیہ کی زندگی اور شاعری پر تحقیقی مقالہ لکھ کر جامعہ کراچی سے پی ایچ ڈی کی سند حاصل کی۔

ڈاکٹرصاحبہ کی انتظامی صلاحیت اور علمی اور ادبی قابلیت کو دیکھتے

ہوئے جمیل الدین عالی نے انہیں انجمن ترقی اردو پاکستان کی معتمد اعزازی کا عہدہ سپرد کیا، جہاں انہوں قابلِ قدر کارنامے انجام دئیے، انہوں نے اپنی پیشہ ورانہ زندگی کا آغاز سندھ حکومت کے ادارے سندھ ایمپلائز سوشل سیکورٹی انسٹی ٹیوشن سے 1977 میں کیا جہاں سے وہ ڈائریکٹر ابلاغِ عامہ کے عہدے سے 2012 میں ریٹائرہوئیں۔ اسی دوران وہ جامعہ کراچی میں درس و تدریس کے شعبہ سے جز وقتی وابستہ ہوئیں بعد ازاں محمد علی جناح یونیورسٹی سے بطور پروفیسر وابستہ ہوگئیں۔ تاہم انجمن کی مصروفیات کے پیشِ نظر آپ نے درس و تدریس کو خیرباد کہہ دیا۔

فاطمہ حسن کو انکے ادبی خدمات کے اعتراف میں ملک اور بیرونِ ملک مختلف ادبی تنظیموں کی جانب سے اعزازات سے نوازا گیا۔ جبکہ انہوں نے 2012 میں حکومتِ پاکستان کی جانب سے “تمغمہء امتیاز” حاصل کیا۔

Dr. Syeda Anees Fatima Zaidi, known as Fatima Hassan in poetry and academic circles, belongs to the largest city of Pakistan, Karachi. She was born on 24 January 1953. She made poetry her medium of expression but she are also known in literary circles as a researcher, critic and writer. She is the author of poetry, stories and several books on various topics. She compiled many books. After writing a research paper on the life and poetry of Zahida Khatun Sharvaniya, a forgotten poetess of Urdu literature and obtained her PhD certificate from University of Karachi.

Seeing Dr. Fatima’s administrative ability and academic and literary abilities, Jameeluddin Ali entrusted her with the post of Honorary Trustee of Anjuman Taraqqee Urdu Pakistan, where she performed valuable achievements. She started her professional career from Sindh Goverment’s Employees Social Security Institution in 1977 where she retired in 2012 as Director of Public Relations. During this time, she joined the Department of Teaching and Learning in the University of Karachi on a part-time basis and later joined Muhammad Ali Jinnah University as a professor. However, in view of the busyness with the association of Anjuman Taraqqee Urdu, she discountinued her teaching career.

Fatima Hasan was honored by various literary organizations in the country and abroad in recognition of her literary services. While in 2012 she received “Sadarti Tamgha-e-Imtiaz” from the Government of Pakistan.
